I am going to check connection and possibly swap with another position on the rear bumper to see if the problem moves. My question, has anyone been able to have a part sent to them and do warranty work themselves yet? The dealership is over two hours away and this is 15 min job start to finish.
I have a set of power leads behind the amplifier under the back seat. Sealed ends like the EXT switch drops. Any idea of ratings and fuse locations? Thanks!
Hello, I would like to keep my battery jump box under the back seat...but I would like a USB port under the back seat to keep the jump box charged at all times. What is the easiest way to install a USB port under the back seat...I know there is a ton of electrical...I figure someone in this group knows the best idea or has already done this. I used to keep this little jump box in the center console of my Ford Expedition...but this group knows why I can't do this on the Grenadier.
Has anyone tried to bypass the need for offroad mode and center lock being needed to turn on the grill lights? I want to move my grill light switch to one of the available 10amp switches, but I also wondered if I could bypass something that would allow the grill lights to turn on and off with the normal overhead switch.
I come from the Jeep world where if it sucks, and it often does, we throw money and time at the problem ourselves. My sound is bad, put in new speakers. Axles break...buy better ones. So one of the big Grenadier problems is our AC system, does anyone know how to fix this? I have never dealt with a full AC system so maybe it can't be done, but I wanted to ask if anyone here knows. Can we change out a bunch of parts and fix this ourselves? (I know we shouldn't have to, but we are well...
Thread 'View multi-screen Infotainment'
Hi friends, I think I read it somewhere on the forum, but I can't find it. The option to see the maps and at the same time information about the music you are listening to on the infotainment screen can be done in all models or is it from a specific date or update, and if it is possible, how is it configured? I am referring to this, it is an image taken from a forum thread Regards Paco Garcia
Hi all, New to the forum and there is a wealth of information. I am learning a lot while still waiting for the delivery. I have searched the forum however don't seem to find a definitive answer as per the subject title. i.e Can we charge the batteries (or perhaps only the auxiliary battery) via one of the Deutsch plugs on the roof (outlet) WITHOUT any re-wiring, provided the solar panel / blanket has its own MPPT controller? Cheers, Andersen
A question for the UK and European members of the Forum. Are the Round 12N and 12S trailer plugs still commonly used or are they now a historical curiosity? The reason I ask is I'm considering adding them to a future edition of the manual, as the same physical plug is still used in Australia, but wired up to a different standard. Hopefully having the 2 wiring schemas may assist Australian users in determining whether that e-bay adaptor bargain will in fact work in Australia. Cheers Steve
I'm thinking that I'll replace the factory speakers and sub. They are okay but not particularly great. Anyone know the sizes of the front door speakers and the rear door speakers? Going to a specialist store next week to listen to how the current stuff sounds. I'm starting with just the speakers and if that's not enough then I'll do more changes in the future. I'm pretty sure I'm going to update the sub as well, its okay but not great.

Talked with the service department at my dealer about the update to the infotainment (updates for speed warning, altimeter, etc.). He told me that they had rolled out an update to some dealers as a beta test and it didn't go well. This caused them to pull the update. As of right now there is no timeline.
Thread 'C2 Warning Light?'
Anyone know what the “C2” warning on the Telltale Warning Panel is for? Bottom row, second one in from the left. Sometimes RED, sometimes YELLOW, it looks like a bumpy road with an explosion 💥 blast symbology. Checked the owners manual (not there - C1 and C3 are though) and searched this forum before I asked. Thanks! - Mark in Colorado. 44 miles on 24 hour old rig
Does the appropriate wiring exist in the passenger door (LHD truck) to add the door lock switch?
Hello, I need help with an installation. I have an Alu-Cab tent on the roof that's powered by a connector on the roof. I've added a solar panel to the tent, and I need to route it to the battery area. I want to split the EXT3 socket. I want to use the existing connectors on the roof, but they are all connected together. I need to find the junction where they are connected and separate them. Does anyone know where this junction is located in the roof?
Thread 'NOCO loco'
Space is a premium here, so I'm thinking of putting the NOCO batter maintainer in the engine bay as opposed to under the rear seat. It also has the advantage of being much easier to wire to a good charge point, and the cord end can be accessible thru the grill like my diesel block heaters. If anyone sees a fly in the ointment, lemmie know. I notice 2 captive nuts in the sheet metal at the location in the engine bay, so the plan is to have the fab shop make a drop in sheet metal pocket...
İ have never considered selling a vehicle because it has so many loud and annoying beeps/warning sounds. It is horrible...I can't believe Ineos still has not put out a software update for the speeding clicking....they could ask every owner for $100USD and we would all happily kick in to make that feature happen next day. The warning sound for low fuel or door open is so loud...is there a way to adjust it?
Thread 'Custom Maps and Images in CarPlay'
I’ve finally nutted out how to get to get my Geotiff, jp2 and ecw maps and images to display on the centre screen using OsmAnd Maps+ through CarPlay. Following pics illustrate the end result showing the 1:250k topo and geology mapping for Perth. The following process is a bit fiddly and if you aren’t familiar with the software used there will be a decent learning curve, but it’s doable, and if anyone else has a simplier or alternative method please do let me know. 1. Convert Map and Image...
Hello everyone, just got our Grenadier home and wanting to hard wire the radar detector. I’m thinking there is power inside the forward camera housing behind the rear view mirror, has anyone removed that? If so what and where were the clips retaining it? Alternatively, has anyone done a hard wire up by the mirror and where did you tap in if not the camera area? Thank you in advance for your help and comments!
The 12v socket in the rear on my vehicle states 320W max next to it yet its fused with a 15A fuse. Basic school physics ( Power = Voltage x Current) tells me it cannot output 320W the power is 12V x 15A = 180 W so the max power you can draw before the fuse blows is 180W. I tried this with a device I knew drew over 200W and sure enough the 15A fuse blew. Why have they stated you can draw 320W from the socket ???
Thread 'A truly nice light combo'
I have the 42 inch triple R linear elite mounted up on top on my 3/4 bison gear roof rack. Pulls 24.3A of power and works great up there. I picked this bar after talking to Baja and triple R about the vertical angle of light emitting from their light bars. I basically wanted a sharp cutoff on light so I don't get glare in the safari windows or on the hood. The triple r guys told me that was a design criteria in their product and they sold me pretty hard on how much control they have over...
