Yakima mod

Anyone using a Yakima mod drawer system in the grenadier? Much lower cost than those boutique brands, and much easier to resell since it’s not bespoke to the grenadier

The height is also 7” so it’s perfectly aligned with the rear seats

I was also looking at these and I’m interested in the lower cost. The LG size looks just right for the grenadier at 36” x 33.5” x 7”.

However, yakimas installation is just tying it down. I’d probably try to see one in person so I can figure out how to make a bracket to attach it to grenadier mounting points.

I already had the Yakima MOD drawer system, which works pretty well with a few adjustments and lays nearly level with the back seats when folded down. It’s also modular so you can add and delete additional upper drawers and/or baskets, which is nice. May ultimately go with a more permanent solution though.

Also, I probably need to post this in a new thread, but the Pakmule Scout, paired with the Rig’d Supply RambleSwing (off-road capable swing out hitch) is a great addition for accessible gear storage for the Grenadier. I went with the 7” riser on the Pakmule Scout to preserve as much...

dimensionally speaking it looks like the LG Mod drawer doesn't go deep enough to be flush against folded down rear bench. Gap appears to be around 10". So for sleeping, you'd need another layer, which would be annoying and hackish, and defeats the purpose of spending $1200 on a drawer, to still need to apply some hack

Looks great, just concerned about how useful a 7” drawer would be height wise, they’d be a lot of stuff I used to keep in my previous drawers that wouldn’t fit in those.
