Windscreen Trim

Has anybody tried to "trim" the windshield with a certain product? If so which? I tried one from amazon... it was crap. Just thinking it might help with chips. I saw the OWL VAN guy do it, I called and got the product he used so round 2 will be this weekend. Hoping for better results.

I watched the video, got the same trim and then realized I had Exoshield and it was probably a bad idea to use the heat gun on that. Not sure if anyone has attempted it with Exoshield
