Windscreen calibration after replacement

I need a new windscreen after a dozen or so dings and one large horizontal crack.

The local glass shops tell me that even if they order a windscreen and and drain gutter from Ineos, they can not replace the windscreen because they do not have the data to recalibrate the related sensors. They further tell me that nationally, most manufacturers provide that data to Autel, an automotive technology distributor, and installers across the country use Autel supplied data to recalibrate after glass installation. Our windscreens are manufactured by Pilkington, a very large international glass company, and our local installers have data for many Pilkington windscreens but not ours.

The Ineos service center that I contacted tells me that recalibration is not necessary.

Can anyone explain if installation without recalibration is possible and if so, will any functions be impaired?

Which year model Grenadier do you own? Mine is a MY 23.5. No optical dependant ADAS.... In fact, no "ADAS" ! (I'm not across the different specs which might apply in the north American market) mine has just a plain glass windscreen...no calibration. Yes, I've replaced it already... stone from truck on the motorway..... First windscreen replacement in 24 yrs having previously done thousands of kms on outback roads without incident 🤔

When I had my windshield replaced I got lucky and the ADAS did not require a recalibration. One of the guys at Ineos told me that its the same system used by Nissan so if a shop can calibrate a Nissan they should be able to calibrate a Grenadier... I didn't test that though.
