Why did pricing jump for me so much this year?

I spec'ed out a Grenadier SW last year, but was not in a position to complete the sale at the time. With the $8K rebate, I was at ~$76,500. Today, I am at ~$91,000. 😮

I am in East Texas and have been working with Sewell Grenadier in Dallas, TX. No rebates or incentives right now too. I could see a few thousand in price increase, however, ~$15K is a lot for the same build (specs). While I don't really care about the $1,000 of free accessories available at the time, the loss of the $8K rebate for tariffs and a similar general price increase is huge!

I am looking at a custom build, if you will, not a general spec build, with the Rough Pack, and similar stuff for harder off-road use. So, I am not expecting the deepest discounts either. However, this price rise is putting me off pretty hard as it seems a bit like price gouging.

Am I missing some basic pricing facts, or was my 2024 offer unusually good? With a $91K sticker price, can I still get the same vehicle in the ~mid-$80K range today?

TIA,
Sid

p.s. I am rolling in a 2nd Gen Tacoma with Dana 60 in the rear, and I am putting in a Marlin Crawler front end with LC200 steering rack, and possibly an an Atlas transfer case right now.

Are you pricing out 2026 models? Or sticking with 2025?

I'd imagine that 2025s are still incentivized to clear them out for 2026s. The dealer I worked with still seems to have 2025's at the price I purchased in Nov 2025.

And don't be afraid to check other dealers. Paying a grand to ship a truck to sake 12 thousand bucks is a bargain.

One must hate money to buy any new IG for anything close to MSRP. Resale value gets eviscerated used. The market simply doesn't value these trucks for the foreseeable future unlike the Toyota/Lexus competitors.

It's pretty embarrassing. Buy it for the long haul.

$76,500 USD was a screamin' deal for a custom build with a bunch of higher cost add-ons like the high load aux, rough pack, dual bat, etc (iirc). That's almost better than what most early NA preorder folks paid.

Custom?? youre not sitting down at a ferarri dealer picking colors here.

pick a stock Paint color and lockers, the rest you can add. (you can even wrap it if you dont like the colors)

go find a '25, already.

Look at how much the dollar fell over 2025. That has probably been factored in somewhere.
