Anyone has ref for white steel wheels that don’t cost 400€/piece ?
If possible in mainland europe.
Alternatively, can I paint a black one, and in this case what type of paint should be used?
Thanks a lot

Ideally powder coated would be the most durable.
Alternatively an aerosol of the right colour, I would finish with a 2k lacquer aerosol (taking the usual precautions)

Yes, I had my 17" steel wheels powder coated white. I love the look.

I could not find affordable white rims so I got a set of nearly new steelies from an Ineos dealer. Quotes to have them painted or powder coated were through the roof (nearly 1800€ for 5 wheels!), I decided to give it a try myself. Found a low-temp epoxy paint (so no oven needed), built a makeshift painting cabin in my garage and I am super proud of the result. 1.5L of paint cost me 90€ so even if it doesnt last as long as a powdered one, it’s no big deal to give a coat of paint every year.
A few pictures attached for final look - I know some people won’t like, but I just love the look, with brand new Nokian H.

What do you think? Yay or Nay?

Now it really does look like an old 127” wheelbase Defender I used to drive many moons ago.
