What's everyone driving...?

2006 100 series turbo diesel cruiser with a lot of accessories and rear lockers. Looking forward to my next 4wd having front lockers.

Having fun! New wheels, Katzkin Interior, warped front end and rear panel. Love this vehicle!

Absolutely nothing. My motorcycles sit idle on tenders most of the time, sold my RV in favor of dispersed camping with the IG and only drive my daughter's LR4 when I have to. The IG is just too damn much fun to drive.

I'll kick of with:

Grenadier
Lotus Esprit V8GT

and yes, there appears to be a British thing going on here.
Like many here im from the LR family;
First one was a 1995 Td5 Defender followed by a 2000 110 Defender and the last a 2014 110 Defender ran it to the ground twice with a rebuild in 2020 @ 387k km and sold it yesterday @ 712k km. Obvious replacement the Grenadier not so obvious the Quartermaster. Hope i dont live to regret the wellside. As with my defenders ill be servicing it myself every 7500km without fail its worked well for me and when you use it as a dally thats rughy every month.
Im a mechanical engineer so getting my hands dirty is part of the experience. My favourite was the td5 which was a BMW engine so im trusting it will be a fun vehicle. Ps english is not my first language so ill try to not let the spelling go to far south but tenses is a another story. I know the translation factor all too well and sometimes it comes across as a bit direct and might sound a bit rude. If it ever happens im really a lover not a fighter just imagine its kind please. I dont make a habit of confronting others it will be a bad choice if words and my opinion please dont be offended if my translation leaves a bit to desired .

The Td5 has more in common with the Rover L-Series than any BMW engine, the Storm project predated the takeover. BMW's main contribution was not to cancel it after the takeover. Only the 5 cylinder varient survived to actual production.

There was a BMW engine in some of the South African Defenders, again an inline 6, and these are really sort after now. (The previous editor of Land Rover Monthly magazine, Patrick Cruywagen, on Instagram as busheditor, had one, usually referred to as "The Green Mamba").

A good summary of LR engine lineage: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Rover_engines#Td5_.28Engine_Codes_15P_and_16P.29

A great website for arcane British Automotive history:
