We are selling wife's Cayman and someone looking at it said it was unusual to be a manual. What's the point of a road sports car if it's not a manual?

What is your honest opinion on the SF90?? I drove two and wasn't really impressed but the prices are falling fast and it has me thinking about them again...

Not impressed in what way? It's runs 9s in the 1/4 stock if that is your thing. Handles amazingly in the corners. Arguably the best looking active car Ferrari makes right now? I have had all of the current super cars offered from all the brands. Ferrari and Porsche are making the best road cars below 1M USD now days in my opinion.

Listen I get it; its a Ferrari, but too me it doesn't have that soul, maybe I'm a bit too old school here but too me the SF didn't feel like the pedigree of the Ferrari. It was like my M8 point and shoot no risk, no need to "drive" the car. I felt same about the Aventador. I think the 600LT killed many cars for me, just how raw it is. Like I said I haven't spent a lot of time in one, however I did see the market for resale is getting many more and it might change my mind a bit to take one for the longer term. Maybe its because they went AWD on the SF that just has me missing the feeling of hitting it at 60 knowing its rolling smoke from the rear tires. lol Also I have not been on track with one either. I'm not a fan of the rear of it, not sure why but side and front it is a killer design.

British car journalist Jeremy Clarkson and Harry of 'Harry's Garage, both said similar of the modern supercar. You no longer need to be a good driver. The pic's above do however look amazing.

Thanks. it's a great ride. I checked every box so it's also wall to wall carbon with factory M performance suspension. It's not even run in yet. It's going for its break-in oil change this weekend. After that I'll be able to open it up. Looking forward to taking it out on the mountain and desert roads here in San Diego and beyond.

And now the wait for the Grenadier in Oz. Ordered this month. I'm hoping to spend US Thanksgiving through first week of January in Australia, so I'm hoping it comes in before Xmas, but not counting on it.

I had a 296 GTB prior to the SF90 which is a RWD car with 800+ HP to just the rear wheels. If you're looking for a white knuckle experience of destroying $900 rear tires, that's certainly the F-car to do it on the market today. My favorite Ferrari to date has been a 812 Super Fast though. I loved it so much I am still actively looking for one to get in the stable again after having two previously. It is just that good of a car.

My Sterrato was another amazing driving experience for a modern car. Along with the other Huracan variants I have been lucky enough to own over the years. The RWD EVO, STO, and Tecnica are amazing and visceral experiences too. Anyone suggesting they are not hasn't driven one for any length of time.

I do fancy Porsche GT cars though. Of the cars I have had in the last couple years, the 992 variant GT3 and GT3 RS are simply perfection for a raw driving experience. I know this is subjective but I actually enjoy the evolution and performance of the modern super and hyper cars. Anyone who says you don't need any talent to make one perform hasn't been around COTA or Barber at speed in one. The car makes up for some lack of talent but you can find yourself in trouble really quickly if you don't know what you're doing. This is coming from someone who's been instructing on track for nearly 15 years for Porsche, Audi and now working on my Ferrari instructor setup.

My other two cars are a 2008 BMW Z4M Coupe and a 2025 Lucid Air. I love them both. If I add the vehicles I own but that my kids drive the list would get longer.

The Z4M is such an overlooked German masterpiece. Bravo sir. Wonderful car.
