What did you do with your Grenadier today?

Had a successful Grenny meetup at the Rancho Santa Fe cars and coffee. We got 10x more attention than the exotic sports cars.

I thought it would be a quick job - build a "y-lead" so I can run all four roof lights from one switch.

but... you can't fit two DTP plugs into the little electrical cubbys below the lash bars unless you remove the entire bar from the car and tuck the 2nd connector up behind the factory one.

If I'd known this, I would have simply made a Y-cable for both lights...

Had been holding off on installing the control knob for my TowPro. Couldn't decide on where to install it. Settled on the center console so it's easily accessible by both driver and passenger. Not a perfect install, but it's done.

Also put on Tougher seat covers. Awesome!!! and love their logo - very similar to it's northern cousin, the Wolverine.

Great patina and overall look. Is the frame solid? Straight 6?
Thank you …. The frame and components are completely powder coated….. love the fact that the underside has great detail while the top side looks more original. It has a 360 with 4 speed.

Last day of the Grenadier Gathering in Moab. Last obstacle of the week was Wipeout Hill, it showed 37° decline on the Attitude Screen. (Screenshot from the video that I’m not allowed to post)

Owl Vans Seadek seat back foam, a great mod for $100 or less.

Here is a funny story.

As boxes of upgrade goodies arrive, I slide them around the corner from the front door into the dining room. As I empty them I toss the boxes in the corner. I asked my adult Son to break the boxes down and get them outside for recycling. A few days later I go in to grab the box from Owl with the SeaDek. Owl ships the SeaDek in a flat carboard box. A box that went to curbside recycling a few days earlier.

All I could do was laugh. No point in being upset or angry, it was my fault.
 
Here is a story that is not funny.

Did the slide under the truck yesterday, just looking for leaks or trouble with the CV. Unlikely, as I just hit 4000 miles in my 25', all highway on 33" and 2.5" lift. Found this.

Now I have to decide, 1.) dealer, new shaft, no warranty, out of pocket 2.) get a local shop to put my spare CV on and lose the lift. 3.) same as #2, but leave the lift and swap it for an aftermarket when available.

I do like how neat and tidy the grease flew out.

Here is a story that might be a mystery.

WTF is that protruding from the rubber at the top? Is that a broken circlip? I wonder if that is covered even with a lift?

Looks like I'm going back under the truck in the morning.

As you have the lift I would go for the aftermarket shaft produced by @Sven in France and now stocked in US bu Design Build Go (I think that's who's selling in US).
Can't be much more expensive and more chance it will work
