What did you do with your Grenadier today?

I ordered a new windshield from Red Nolan.
It took a couple of weeks to come in. Having it installed on Monday.

The Safelite website shows the Grenadier and shows availability. It does mention the need for a dealer camera alignment from a dealet.

Since I would need to drive 6 hours to Colorado Springs for the camera alignment and 24K service I did not place an order with Safelite to see if they really had the windshield.
I just submitted for a replacement today with my insurance which refers to Safelite so I'm about to find out. I'm assuming I'll have to order with Red Nolan.

Is that normal labour cost for a windscreen over there??? How can it be any different to any other vehicle.
Windscreen cost is ridiculous and unnecessary but the labour 🤯
It's Florida where $$$ grow on trees.
Reading today about some Chinese guy cleaning toilets for 14 hours. Made $20. Yay.

Finally got a winch installed. Was a TIGHT fit to shoehorn in the Badlands winch into the Signature winch carrier and bull bar. Don't hate on Harbor Freight. They were having a sale - $120 off an already good price and it seems to get good reviews out there. However, the winch is about 1" too long, so needed to devise a plate to raise the winch about a half inch, even then it was tight. Not sure what winch the tray was designed for. Plus the bull bar has mounts for lights which intrude into the winch tray by a bit, but the main problem was at the back. But all in all, worked out great, but my back is not happy from lifting that winch in and out multiple times to get the fitment right. Now buying stock in the makers of ibuprofen.

Also learned that the winch solenoid uses an M10 lug and the winch came with an M8 attached. Drove around for a couple days with the light out while I was able to get the right lug. I had M10s but only for 6AWG wires. The winch had 2AWG.

While I had the light out, I also wired in a sb50 Anderson plug to use for my portable compressor. Currently just zip tied before I figure out where I want it. Probably just going to attached a magnet to the plug and stick it where needed.

One thing not complete was I made a harness to create a high beam trigger for a relay for lights. Pretty sure there was talk about the purple with orange tracer being the one going live with the high beam. Nope, not on mine or I read it wrong. That wire is live when the lights are off and only the DLR is active. Was too late last night, so had to button everything up and get my headlight back in. This will be a job to tackle another day.

I hope it's just growing pains from a start-up company, the labor may be trying to re-coup some of the 5 day loaner vehicle. Demos are going for around 15k short of suggested retail. Plus there does seem to be a premium in S.Florida.

You need to zoom in, as the yellow is an added extension, but yes, the correct wire is the purple with red/orange stripe. I wired my relay with this as the trigger wire and it works perfectly. I used this wire based on others forum members’ feedback and knowledge.

Thanks, what I thought - will get back to it when I have time to pull the light again. Clearly did something wrong on my end.

not sure if it was answered, but does this setup run the fridge off of the 12v cigarette lighter port in the back? Is there any way to run a fridge off of one of the AUX switches/INT switches?
im not sure if the better option would be to charge a power station off of one of the aux switches and then passthrough charge a fridge, or just run the fridge off the cigarette lighter while driving and switch to power station once parked. (then I guess the question is how/when would I charge the power station if fridge is using cigarette port). Is there an option im missing here
?

If your not running a dual battery than a power station is probably your best bet. Depending on how much time you are running the vehicle each day you can charge the station and run the fridge at the same time. If you are stationary I would add a good sized solar panel to keep the a battery charged. If you are running the fridge off of the main battery I wouldnt do that at all without a good battery jump pack.

I just called them to confirm and they said they have an aftermarket windshield in stock. I'm still skeptical.
They just called to tell me to go to the dealer. Apparently if there's a dealer close (Denver to Colorado Springs is apparently not close enough) they will try to order from the dealer. The rep said that is the case "in Arizona".
