What did you do with your Grenadier today?

I forgot to post that last weekend I did a whistle stop tour to Antwerp, Belgium to collect my LRA auxiliary fuel tank and exhaust alteration mods. The tank and exhaust kit was imported into Europe by Desert Foxx of Antwerp Belgium. Desert Foxx is run buy a lovely and knowledgeable gut called Wouter.
What a set up he has there as well as organising and running group 4x4 expeditions worldwide , he has a great workshop facility where they mainly work on Landrovers. The are also MAN/CAT ex army trucks. The workshop is full of classic Defenders ,series Landrovers, Rangerover classics and a forward control Landrover awaiting refurb. They do everything from chassis swaps to new engine and gearboxes and everything in between. There are some amazing and beautiful machines in there. But of most interest to me were the two Grenadiers in his workshop. One of which was PT02 right hand drive prototype purchased from the U.K. to be used for donor parts. In bits was a Grenadier that had been completely forward barrel rolled over Sand Dunes in Morocco and still driven home with the help of a plastic /perspex windscreen. This Grenadier is going to have a complete body swap with the PT02 prototype car. These guys at the workshop will certainly know Grenadier’s inside out when they have finished rebuilding the rolled Grenadier. I didn’t take any photos as I thought it was inappropriate and if the owner wanted put it out there they could themselves. Very impressive though what they intend to do.

Impressive!

So today @maxmcm came over from Ireland to pick up my now redundant rhino rack roof rack, ostrich wing 370 awning and other kit for roof rack.
Nice to do business with you mate.

I have spent the last few days volunteering at RIAT, (Royal International Air Tattoo), at RAF Fairford. Saw a dark coloured Grenadier there and was flashed by another one as I was driving home. I have a number of terrible iPhone pictures of distant aircraft and a few slighly better ones of planes on tarmac.

Beautiful 😻
We’re lucky to have a serviceable Catalina down here in NZ too 😁👍🏼

I took her home

Inadvertently…
This is the real home of Ineos, I've only been intending to drive past and take a photo in my Grenadier for about 18 months. This is where Jim bought out the polymer side of Shell. Nice new office block there not really sure if all the pipe work you can see has anything to do with them but it was the best I could get
