What did you do with your Grenadier today?

Got myself unstuck after an over optimistic excursion helping with some local MTB track work. MF saves the day!
Oops, not sure we should admit to that one. Maybe setup a picture looking like you are pulling the tractor with the tag 'Grenadier saves the day' 🤣

Not today, but last week.
"Toots" was in getting a drivers side grab handle installed, (would have done myself but have had a very bad experience with airbags on a new vehicle before!).
Had also recalls for "Engine cover replacement " and a "Starter motor cable adjustment" done, wasn't aware of those?

Also learnt via a Ronny Dahl video we have a telescopic steering wheel, another addition to the MY23 handbook.

This weekends project was to adding solar power to the Grenadier. I’ve had the Ecoflow Glacier fridge powered off the rear 12v plug and it works great but I can usually get about 2 nights (without starting the truck) out of the fridges built in 298wh battery before it goes dead. One of the other great features of this fridge is that it has a built in MPPT solar charger and can take up to 200w of solar power. I added a Renergy 200w solar panel to the custom crossbars on my roof top tent. I ran the power cables through the rear driver’s side roof power panel. I used the factory style Deutsch style connector inside the factory cover to be able to detach the exterior harness.

I wouldn't call it off roading but on my way home from the Shore yesterday there was a road closure. Took a power line trail as a detour with 30other people.

Honestly not sure why that person in the Camry thought following us was a good idea though. Oh, and my toot horn is now muffled. lol

Got mine back from local service dealer today. Was in a week ago for its second service and a main battery replacement. New battery didn’t solve the issue I was having (battery drain and discharging at 110A!) - Ineos replaced the alternator under warranty. Pretty good service I think, alternator was ordered on Wed PM, arrived Friday PM and fitted Monday AM.

Brought my 2024 IG into my dealer, Rusnak Pasadena, CA, for the software update and a number of recall items today. The big one was to replace all the lock mechanisms on all doors and a new ignition switch. Took nearly all day. Got it done same day and drove home 90 miles. I think the car runs better, at least I like the acceleration curve/throttle response improvement. I didn't really need new locks, such a waste of time and the company's money. It's all run by lawyers. But the fucking ADAS nightmare is over!

I bought a second hand hi-lift for 100 € from a former Defender owner who thought my car was an IVECO 🤣

The extension of the lever is from a brand known as Ineos, and was necessary because or I wasn't strong enough or my weight isn't sufficient 🤔
prob one of the very few times it doesn't pay to be 'lean Jean'

After weeks of shipping, my grenadier finally arrived on island. Went to the BMV to register it, and they were stumped. Ineos Grenadier was not in the drop down menu. The final decision was to issue paperwork on a Landrover Defender Custom. Lol. They worked with IT to get Ineos added. Called back in the afternoon to pick up a new title and registration with Ineos Grenadier.
So for whoever is the next Grenadier owner in the US Virgin Islands, you are welcome for the 4 hours I spent convincing the government that it’s not a Defender!
Beach day next!
