What could cause this noise?

Even though my noise is not there anymore (after reinstalling the brake pads), I would also like a permanent fix. I just need to know exactly what to tell the dealer. Does everyone also have squealing brakes too?

Im at the dealer getting the repair and I asked the service advisor for more details. He said the repair has to do with an adjustment to the caliper hanger (the bracket that the caliper attaches to). The brake dust build up may cause the issue. He didnt have much more info than that other than they have a solution that fixes the problem, but he didnt know more details than that. I asked if the tech removed material or what the adjustment entailed, but he didnt know.

Well, the noise returned after about a month but not as frequent. Im bringing it back in to the dealership in a few weeks. I spoke with the service manager today who said it's a build up of brake dust causing the issue. Its just strange that its only happening with one wheel.

I had one rear wheel that squealed. I got the dealer to check, he cleaned the brake dust, check things over and after a few months it came back. Then the dealer put some copper grease on the back and bled all the brakes which was much better and the brakes had better bite. However, it eventually came back. On my second service, I had all the brake fluid changed and it has been good ever since.

So the reason why it happening to just one wheel is the rear wheel wasn’t bled properly from the factory and could do with some new brake fluid.

That's interesting. And the squeak was occurring when you weren't applying the brakes, correct? Just when you were driving around?

Only occurred when applying the brakes.
