It's a transmission parking pawl mechanical release lever carried over with the transmission for other vehicles. Not connected on Grenadier or QM.I was checking out the under carriage today and noticed this “linkage” arm on the transmission but its not connected to anything. Does anyone know what it is?

Thank you so much! Was getting worried for a second. Guess the other thing I need to figure out now is why my low range shifter cable doesnt have the metalic sleeving, noticed on various videos and pics others are shielded. It's a transmission parking pawl mechanical release lever carried over with the transmission for other vehicles. Whilst it would function to release the parking pawl, the approved method to get a disabled vehicle into neutral so it can be moved is via the stop bolt located on the transfer case - as documented in the owner's manual.
