On most ignition starts now I get the amber triangle warning in bottom right of the driver's dash and the amber warning in the big screen "Transmission Error". It disappears about 2secs after engine turn over.

Been happening for a couple of months now.

Just wondering whether anyone else has experienced same and if so what it was/wasn't.

Last time agent checked they couldn't find any error codes.

I have this (and some others), but only occasionally. When codes were read there were lots of CAN communication errors.

Try keeping ignition on as long as all warning light go out before starting. This should be enough for all ECU's and CAN network being awake.

Thanks. I always allow the ignition to cycle and lights to extinguish. Unfortunately no difference for me with this particular error.

I had a red transmission error warning whilst in Morocco. I had a Tuareg guy in the passenger seat who wouldn’t wear a seat belt so after a while because of all the warnings we fastened the seat belt behind him. When he got out I forgot the seat belt was still fastened without an occupant in the seat. This caused a red transmission error. Checked the handbook and it says stop driving immediately and call your service agent. A bit worrying at the time in the Sahara. Turned the engine off went for a couple of beers for an hour, came back undid seat belt and all sorted 👌🏼

I have had similar since day one. After turning key to accessory the Christmas lights cycle on and off but warning triangle stays on and the transmission warning comes up, wait a couple of seconds and both go out and then I start the car and it stays clear.
