poor sods
definitely sub-optimal
fingers crossed for them, waiting for a rescue at the bottom of the ocean puts my 'sick of waiting' displeasure in context.
Why do people do lots of things, overlanding, skydiving, climbing Everest, et al. Even horse riding is dangerous. I wonder how many people die on the roads every day.Looks like there's not going to be a rescue.
Seen a few things on Twitter though that make you think what were they ever doing being there.
I used to skydive in my 20's. Was a chap up at the airfield (ex army) who was well in his 50's and celebrated his 48th hour of freefall while I was jumping with him. I'll never forget his no nonsense statement "....see you can do this and not die...". I've taken this out of context, it was a fuller conversation and very military-esque way of looking at risks/life.Why do people do lots of things, overlanding, skydiving, climbing Everest, et al. Even horse riding is dangerous. I wonder how many people die on the roads every day.
It's what humans do.

370-380 bars, allegedly.he amount of pressure Titan was under
Cos we're bored waiting for god.Exactly.
I have skydived, abseiled, scuba dived, kicked down doors, walked down a dark lane hunting a killer.
Why do any of us do anything?
Quick, wait for crew to go ashore on the p1ss, then swim out and claim squatters rights - we can then flog her through Gibralter auction and buy a Gren for Christian and Vera!It also sucks to be a Russian billionaire. This seized superyacht is still anchored off Trieste.View attachment 7817611
After they emptied the minibar they just allowed Ukrainians to use it as a hotel.Quick, wait for crew to go ashore on the p1ss, then swim out and claim squatters rights - we can then flog her through Gibralter auction and buy a Gren for Christian and Vera!
All of here on this Forum are adventures in body if not in mind. Pushing the envelope is what has advanced mankind to where we now live in the space age. It's simply amazing I can walk out on my balcony and from 80 miles away and watch rocket ships launching into space from Vandenberg every 7-10 days. No risk, No Reward. God Bless those pushing the limits. RIP adventures of the Deep. DaBullCos we're bored waiting for god.
I'm sitting in Trieste airpirt writing this. "Ticking away the monents that make up the dull day..."
Maybe I'll go and kick down a door.
That seems along way from where this sad tale was...a commercial enterprise based on experimental designs and plenty of ignored warnings from peer reviewers.Pushing the envelope is what has advanced mankind to where we now live in the space age.
There are some very dodgy aspects to the whole venture. That seems along way from where this sad tale was...a commercial enterprise based on experimental designs and plenty of ignored warnings from peer reviewers.
