When I went to pick it up, the truck was now pulling to the right but the shop was saying it all in the gree and they had gone thru the axle alignment proceedure twice. So a service tech had the idea of swapping wheel sides, and voila, it pulled left.

RDS gave me two take off tires, and the truck drives straight.

I've heard of bad belts causing this issue, but I've never experienced it.

The reason it showed up after the axle assembly swap (see other threads) is likely because I had them rotate the tires during the warranty procedure, and that moved the bad tore to the front, where it had been rotated out previously.

Seemingly tires have a massive effect on the Grenadier. I've always known tires make the truck, but the Grenadier seems overly susceptible to different tire configurations. This might explain why some have problems and some don't. I know all the trucks with the highway tires drive vastly more normal than those with real AT's and MT's.

Maybe it's the super low caster?

I mean, this truck was unalienable. I was there as part of the solution. Two new stock bf goodriches that RDS had as takeoffs, and the truck drove perfectly straight, and it no longer has the max caster I put in it trying to solve the wandering. we could make the truck pull left and right by flip flopping the front tires. Max caster makes a difference on highway, but it also stresses the boot methinks. My shaft failed at 22k. I'm sticking with the stock caster.

You're lifted or no? I'm of course lifted but I only reached the max caster per Ineos. We didn't exceed spec.

I haven’t done I thing to the truck really. I never wanted to sink money into, or off-road, a rig that I couldn’t get the warranty stuff right. I’d lemon it if I had to. I hope this latest round of fixes, is it. Besides, if I can’t add 2-3” of lift, it’s fine for lesser duty as is. This rigs future as a wheeler, or a trade in, is determined by the future solution for the drive shaft.

When the truck is getting the little things right and working, I love driving it.

I went max possible caster, trying to get it not to wander. It did have a really positive effect on overcoming the effects of a bad tire belt. Who knew.

I think max possible makes a discernible difference on a stock truck, but if it’s causing the current CV to fail at 20k, I’m fine at max factory caster. It just drives like new ford E350’s did at 85 mph.
