The comrehensive LHD A-pillar handle thread

As the LHD grab handle for the driver seems really important to some of you. I give some hints here:

A-pillar left with driver airbag:


A-pillar right with passenger airbag:



The trim from the passenger side. (unsure if the metall comes included with the trim):




The handle from the passenger side:




The handle seems interchangeble LHD/RHD.
So to install the handle for the LHD driver you will need:
1x handle
1x A-pillar trim from RHD car.

Take your TX30 tool and keep going at your own risk if you like. I would not.
Be careful workig near any airbag!
Pull fuse/relay/batt terminal if experimenting near airbags!

Yes disconnect battery, if it goes off and a tool is in front of it the force will bury it in the closest object which might be your head!

My manual (RHD) and also the USA manual (LHD) says Airbag control module is F136 (10 amps)

Thank you, I've just found this as well. However: the question is whether this fuse only deactivates the control module or the ignition power as well. If the control box can not send a trigger signal it might still be possible to ignite an airbag by accidentally shorting it (e.g. with a screwdriver from some contact to ground) because the ignition power is still there.

This is just guessing.

Ultimately, perhaps the safest option is to disconnect the battery... (which I'd rather avoid).
