The beer thread

Just posted in the joke thread but fits here too
I so want to get stopped and say to the police 'it's ok, it's Road Cider'.
Almost like it's made for drink driving at only 5.2%
"Tropical Belgian" 🤔🫣

Sparging is really very simple, you are after all only rinsing the last of the wort off the grains. I have sparged with cold water instead of around the usual 68 degrees that I have mashed at and guess what, tasted just the same.

Anybody in or visiting the UK I would recommend the Real Ale Finder app as a useful resource. I was based in Alnwick for a week in July and could be found in the Tanners Arms most evenings, 11 taps (10 beer, 1 cider) all locally sourced, heavenly.

Octoberfest in moab. No idea who makes this amber ale but after 9 hours on the trail in my Grenadier it was absolutely delicious!

Thank goodness it wasn't VB. Soon after I moved to Oz, someone in Canberra told me the letters stood for V****** Backwash. Having tried it once I have to agree, it is not beer, it is just filth for AFL supporters.
I recall being told the same about VB when I had a can in my hand at an AFL game at The Oval (London) - visited Oz a few years later and steered clear for good reason.
