Hi,

Wondered if anyone more organised and thoughtful than I took note of the stock ride height of either the front and rear wheel arch to road height or centre of wheel to wheel arch front and rear. I've had a look around in the various chats but not found anything.

Having added numerous bits and bobs both inside and out and also carrying various loads I am interested to see how far she has settled down in the back end but also if its affected the front ride height.

We also tow a twin axle caravan which I know has a substantial effect. Reasoning behind the request is forming the basis for a discussion for the release of funds for potential airbag investment.

Thanks

Not the answer you are looking for but for accurate measurements I’ve found measuring from the bottom of the wheel arch down through the hub centerline to the bottom edge of wheel rim gives you defined point to work from and is easily repeatable. It also takes tire squish out of the equation but make sure you check tire pressures are set correctly and the vehicle is on level ground anyway.

Here are the front measurements on my 2025 Trialmaster with a gas engine, half a tank of fuel, K02 tires, no occupants and no cargo. Both measurements were made vertically through the center of the hub to the horizontal face of the fender lip. I have a ~ 80 pound bullbar on the front, otherwise stock weight and suspension.

The corresponding measurements on the back wheels are 56.6 cm / 94.0 cm. Both front and rear tires are at 38 psi: the difference between the two sets of measurements suggests the tires in the rear are compressed 2 mm more than the front (makes sense).

Thanks Glen,
Did a bit more research and can now add this which ties up with yours quite closely

We heading off in a couple of weeks so will see what she drives like as i've adjusted the ball height to get the caravan more level and am curious if this assists.
