Does anyone have any experience with the drawer kits from Solid Wood Worx? I am looking for a simple solution for a drawer/storage and sleep combo. Thank You!

That style of bed extension means the length is severely limited by the folded up bottom cushion?Arrived yesterday. Overall fit and finish is excellent, clean cuts and everything comes together perfectly. All holes are predrilled. Seems very sturdy and secure. I went with bed extensions and no false tops, but note the drawers are chamfered for them—would be quite easy to add my own down the road.
The locking slides are being dropshipped, so while not done, a few dry fit pictures and thoughts for the time being.
Instructional video left a few key points unexplained. Several times I had the video paused and zooming in trying to determine what goes where. Piece identification and orientation stickers would make it much easier. Written instructions would be easier to follow (maybe I’m officially old in that regard). Still only took a few hours, and that’s with doubling back to replace screws.
I used the video instructions and a few things are slightly different in application:
1. 1.5” screws for everything but the top and drawer faces. The video says build the box with 1.25” at the beginning. I was nearly done when I realized I didn’t have enough 1.25” screws—the screw packaging does specify what screws go where, I just went too fast based on the video instructions.
2. Both left and right Non locking slides on the center support use the same t-nut to secure, one side uses a shorter screw. I tightened the first side which sucked the t nut in, and the opposite side screw wasn’t long enough to capture thread. I’d recommend finger tight on both inner slides and then tighten down, not one then the other like in the video .
I will likely paint the exposed wood. While
Not a critique of the drawer system, I think it will look better with more uniform color.
Since this was mostly to level the rear cargo area for dogs, next will be EVA decking on the top and bed extensions. The hex pattern is quite slick-great for an easy clean cargo area, less so for older dogs in a moving vehicle.
Dimensions:
Box 41.5”W x 33.25D x8.25H
The top extends to rhe l/r cargo area walls at the door, then continues at the wheel well width all the way to the front
w/ bed extensions 59”D
Drawers inner: 17.25”W x 32.25D x 6.75H
Top to headliner: 33”
Overall I’m really pleased. Shipping took a few weeks, it sounds like they had supply constraints that have hopefully been overcome. Instructions could be more clear, but again very doable in a short amount of time with some intuition. Pieces interlock perfectly. I initially used a speed square to help align supports. The design of the joints and pre drilled screw locations means it practically squares itself.
Fit is excellent, sturdy and well designed. It’s arguably the lowest price point in a drawer system and I think it is perfectly suited for my application and a great value at that.
Possibly, I also likely understated total depth since I haven’t installed it yet and just added extension+top depth-it’s likely a bit longer once installed on the hinge. On their videos, the extensions go fully to the folded up rear seat back:That style of bed extension means the length is severely limited by the folded up bottom cushion?
