So, knowing what you know, would you buy it again?

A definitive yes! After a 40 ton mobile crane crashed into my parked Trialmaster and pushed it 3 metres backwards into my parked BMW, I thought that it is over for my car and its frame may be damaged. Turns out that - after a thorough assessment by an independent expert - the frame wasn't damaged! The crashbar took the impact and protected the frame (Rock the Crashbar 🎸🎶). The expert was astonished how sturdy the Grenadier is built.

Yes, there will be a lot to repair but this tough little car will drive again!

Fundamentally it’s a bloody good vehicle ! Ineos just need to sort the known issues , of which the front drive shaft is a priority. Beyond that being able to service at independent garages and Compatible OBD tool being available, would help sales and owners good will no end.

There is a dipstick in some Grenadiers….

If you are going to rely on a dipstick, you might as well write the manual in cursive. Anyone under the age of 30 can’t read either.

Wife has had BMWs for 20 years, When one said that it was low on oil, I kept looking for the dipstick…. The tech said that people misread them, add other guilds to the hole, generally muck things up. I think at that time the V8 had one, but it was on the back of the block?? I might be making that up. I just said “Ultimate Driving Machine doesn’t have a dipstick?” I didn’t realize that we’d go all the way to a four door electric ‘Mustang’.

I wear a mechanical skeleton watch, not an Apple Watch. I write notes on paper with a fountain pen. I shoot film with a Canon F1New, and by ‘New’ I mean 1981, and a Leica CL, from 1976 not 2015. I’m not trying to be a Luddite, but I’m pretty good at it.
