Ordered my Grenadier yesterday! 🥳🥳🥳

So it will be replacing my much-loved Defender 110. The Defender was frequently used for weekends away with Sea Kayaks etc:

I have a Kari-Tek roof system...it allows easy loading of the kayaks, but needs sturdy roof bars to mount. I'll also need to get the roof bars on and off the Grenadier fairly easily, as the height would be an issue for me...

So, my question is, which ones to get? Any experiences in the UK please?

I just put on Rhino Rack Backbone (developed by Taubenreuther) and for roof bars. In theory each roof bar could carry 150kg static weight. Makes the overall height of the vehicle higher less than 6cm. Tomorrow I will mount a roof tent. On the pictures you do not see the screws - fixed the back bone a moment later.

BTW already mounted by other forum colleagues last year

Four 24" pieces of 3" x 4", 3/8" wall, aluminum angle from Industrial Metal Supply, and four 68" MaxHaul cross-bars. The total of $200 or thereabouts in 2023.
