I had the small 1.7/1.2 lift and the CV circlip failed. Took off the lift to - hopefully - improve reliability.I have a three inch lift on mine and it failed at @ 11,000 miles…. No hard off-roading or adventure touring.
There is a massive difference in weight in half box and full box of your doing the Norweld deluxe, which I believe he is doing. The half box 353 with drawers versus 617 with drawers. Now if you do the basic empty, your looking at 234 versus 317.Watched the video about the half box. I would prefer a 3/4 or full canopy box. Ronny makes a good point about keeping the weight centered while driving on the more technical challenging trails. However, he is comparing it to the full box that is loaded to the gills for adventure touring. If he had stripped out all the adventure touring gear and kept the heavier items in the same location as the half box I think there would be very little change in off-road performance. I would bet there is less than 50 lbs difference between a full box versus the half box.
