Thanks Arkaig.

This is a really interesting video.

I highly recommend everyone watch this given the information coming from a senior INEOS person covering many topics about the Grenadier.

Awesome interview.
I think as you said Mark, this puts a lot into perspective, as to the design and market that the Grenadier is aimed at - which is certainly not at the extreme 4x4 end of the market.

Yes very good and very honest. I agree this clearly spells out that they are not chasing directly the extreme end of the 4WD market. He clearly says that it is only meant to be a starting point that the owner and aftermarket can build on. I think the long wheel base and dual cab Ute will have a lot of interest in Australia. I have never built an over lander, and have no intention to, however the dual cab/cab chassis he said is coming would be my starting point. If I was going to do a pop up roof conversion then the two seat utility long wheel base would be the one.
If I was in the market for an extreme rock machine then I would buy a 40 year old 4WD and build it from scratch with huge tyres, specialised suspension, a big motor etc.
If I was looking for a day to day driver/work vehicle, that could take me to Fraser Island, up the QLD coast, do a lap of the country, launch a tinnie, go to Bunnings and the landscape supply shop, in comfort and reliably, while also being individual, quirky, interesting and amusing, I would buy a Grenadier.
Which is the reason I am buying one.
Donny Gray is impractical, but it looks good
Safari Windows are impractical but are so cool.
The side steps are Impractically low, but I am old and my knees are replacements.
Leather seats are impractical in hot Queensland, yet I have black leather seats and a glass roof in my current car.
I think you get the picture by now
