REMOVAL OF THE HUMP ON THE DRIVERS SIDE RIGHT HAND DRIVE ONLY.

Hi all,
I received my new footrest today, installed it this evening, and just took the Grenny out for a quick drive.
First impressions: I definitely had to adjust my driving position, which felt a bit odd at first. That said, the new rest actually feels really good, even though I didn’t go far. There’s more space to move your foot around, especially since I was wearing boots.
To be honest, I’d just started getting used to the original rest. Someone recently made me laugh when they said, “You only notice the hump is uncomfortable if you think about it while driving.” That’s exactly how I was feeling.
I’ll give it a few more days before sharing an update.
One thing I was expecting was a cutting template for the floor and rubber mat, but nothing came with the kit. Luckily, it wasn’t too hard to figure out. I just took it slow and made sure not to cut too much off. I started with a knife but found a good pair of scissors worked better in the end, see photos.
Cheers🦶🍺
I received mine today also, no template sadly. Will be installing it next week.

There is a template shown on the product page on the GrenX website, I can't get their small pictures to pop up in a large format so here is a blown up version. Maybe give them the feedback this template was not included Thoug

Really like the new GrenX foot rest, both my legs are now level when sitting and you can put your foot to the right of the rest, if you want to. The size of the actual rest is considerably reduced and it looks good. Also, seems to be firmly secured. Thought I would share more photos after the second day.

Sounds good @ROKY. Looks a bit more aftermarket than I was expecting. I thought from the early prototype pics it was going to be a full liner replacement but it obviously got changed to an insert.

You're heading towards your own Sharon Stone Basic Instinct scene in that last pic.
PSA! 🫣

I wasn't sure whether it would be a full replacement or not, but the photo did change on the GrenX website site. A full replacement would have better, but it looks better than any other mods I've seen.
Regarding your last comment, best see a doctor.
