Reduced Braking Performance Scare

Is it playing with the four-wheel-drive system, or just turning it off and on that makes you think it is being fixed?

All I did was turn it off, lock & unlock, restart. All was fine.

It was left in center locked and low gear throughout. To me it is software, as the transmission (reverse) and brakes are different systems.

Update:

My Grenadier was kept by Red Noland in Colorado Springs for a month. During this time, they partnered with Ineos engineers and ran it through a gamut of tests. Including a brake bleed and some type of electronic ABS stress test. Brake fluid was fine and without air in the system, and the abs system tested normal. So no real answers unfortunately.

My goal now moving forward, and perhaps you all can help, is to recreate the issue out on the trail and to capture it on video. @Brad@SuperiorCO you might be most helpful since you've confirmed that yours has done this as well. I'm determined to get to the bottom of this dangerous issue, especially before the warranty expires.

I hope this will not be your last post here… Take care while trying out to find the issue.

I had the same yellow reduced brake warning light on a loaner grenadier . It flashed in a parking lot. It was a dry day and vehicle was clean. I didn’t detect any regress of brake performance. Light went away on the following drive

I need to get mine down to Red Noland for the same investigation, and expect the same results. For you, me and Daniel who have all experienced this, we were all above 12,000 ft. It sounds like a conspiracy theory, but it is the facts. I can't recreate it at home. Once the snow is gone in June we should get together and go back up to Deer Creek and see if we can recreate at elevation.

You should! John was my point person and knows all of my details. Share your details with him.

Anecdotal evidence can sometimes point to real proof. Perhaps that's the case here with elevation. Let's go wheeling when the snow clears and try to recreate the issue. It's bound to happen amongst the 3 of us. Perhaps we can find a robust OBD-II scan tool to bring as well.
