Rear stock yellow Eibach coil springs noisy under light load

Small update: Today, tired of the noise the upper coils of the rear springs make during small impacts, I installed a polyurethane tube to insulate them. Perfect result. Too bad I didn't do it sooner.
How long or how many miles have you been driving with this mod? The coils are so close at the top that it seems the tubing would get pinched/crushed and fail.

Just an FYI… the Eibach Isolators part #: CS5002L have adhesive on the inside to keep them in place, it is very sticky stuff and once installed on a clean spring surface they are not moving. The material is very strong and it would likely do many thousands of miles before giving any issues or need to be replaced.

Also, several of Eibach Pro Kit lift springs for the Grenadier come with the same isolators installed. I think I got the isolators from Summit Racing for $17.00 a piece and have not had an issue with spring clatter since installing them.

I installed them a few thousand kilometers ago and so far they're working perfectly. If they fail, I'll simply replace them because I haven't been able to find the original eibach sleeves in Europe. as you rightly say, the coils in that section are very close together and therefore for installation it is necessary to completely raise the rear end to widen them.

Thanks for the info guys. I cut some vinyl tubing and put them in today. I don’t expect them to last long, but we’ll see if they offer any short-term silence.
