Picked up last week after roughly seven months of research, discussing with the community, and an extended test drive.

I primarily drive busy city streets, and I've been absolutely loving every second of it. I'm glad I took the time to fully understand the shortcomings and issues, but in my view so far, the problems are massively hyperbolized.

Thanks to all of you who took the time to answer my questions and offer rounded perspective. This vehicle is for a niche owner, no doubt, but judging by the looks and being stopped by someone in literally every parking lot - the appreciation is broad. I've driven and owned vehicles that, somewhat embarrassingly, flash status. To me, the Grenadier flashes assured, timeless taste.

As a fellow owner of just a few weeks I absolutely echo this sentiment. It's unfortunately the nature of the internet and applicable to most things these days, not just the Grenadier. I hope future prospective buyers can see through it.

I agree. When people come to a forum for help or complain it overshadows all the satisfied owners. People get a distorted view of reality.

Theres that question about long term reliability of these vehicles being a relative new vehicle. So looking to see whos up there in the milage and were there any engine issues ie DPF codes, sensors etc typical of any deisel or petrol engine that just needed replacement due to normal life expectency of these parts. Hows the transmission going to date. Whos got the most miles?

If this forum were in person, we would all be complaining about our aches and pains - and self-diagnosing from a 17th century medical treatise that talks about “vaporous humours” that we picked up on eBay. Has to be something.

Congratulations, I'm in about the same place as you in the thought process but a month behind. Glad I don't have a hair trigger. Can see me posting same thread soon Spoke to my dealer again today and are getting more confident about dropping the coin on one every month.

Congrats! Just picked one up myself a few weeks ago. It's definitely an enthusiast truck with some frayed edges here and there. I hope I don't get bored or tired of it anytime soon.

No one really gives a 2nd look here in LA given the preponderance of G63s.
