Prayers for you Aussies

Will be interesting to see what changes come from this tragic event, I anticipate tightening of gun ownership laws being one. Hard to justify why anyone living in suburban Sydney needs six licensed firearms after yesterday.
The Yank in me would say, had that street vendor been armed for personal protection, he could have stopped the shooter sooner.

All good in theory , rarely happens outside the movies.
Meanwhile, an untrained unarmed local fruit shop owner rushes shooter and pulls rifle off him.
Who here would do that???

The Aussie in me would say if that Father & Son had AR-15s, bump stocks and high capacity magazines we would have 160 or more dead not 16.

It will be interesting to see what changes, this won't just be brushed off as just another day another mass shooting. Our society will react very differently than some others.

First, I would like to express my deepest condolences for the shooting incident in Australia.
South Korea does not have a gun permit system, which is why similar incidents do not occur.
However, even if gun permits were allowed, such incidents would still be unlikely,
because nearly all men have completed mandatory military service, meaning that for every perpetrator,
there would be at least around 300 people capable of confronting him.
