Look like good tasting size! Perfect reason to head to the island!

Years ago before the total ban of alcohol whilst driving in Scotland.
We stopped at Blair Atholl on the way to Beauly nr Inverness to visit the distillery. We had set of very early and it was probably around 10ish when we arrived, we hadn't eaten. Nowadays, as in the picture, samples are offered or supplied in bottles for the drivers. The tour guy just kept topping up all the glasses until you had had enough, I just kept giving the wife mine. We weren't the last to leave and even with their better bottles just kept handing it out. When we got out side and the cold air hit, wife said, 'I'm drunk, I won't be sharing any driving today'

Another time, over new year period we were at Helmsdale we went up to John o Groats. This was well before the new rules zero alcohol breath test and you could still have a couple. In the little old cafe, as it was back then. We were the only ones there. The old lady serving was saying how new years celebrations aren't as good as they used to be now you can't drink and drive!
Personally I don’t touch the stuff. I have an aversion to spirit drinks and certainly can’t stand the smell of whisky.🤮

Sunrise at at West End Bay, Flinders Chase National Park, Kangaroo Island. It was a cracker!

It is not photoshopped to look like this.

When you say you are from a land down under, do you actually mean the underworld, those trees look like they are holding fire up
Amazing picture

9 years before that image was taken, a large wildfire burnt out over 80% of the National Park. The fire was so intense that many of the mature trees were killed (all those taller trees are dead). There is now a double canopy, the dead upper layer and the regrowing green layer (actually black in this image). I under exposed the image to brighten the reds and darken the greens. A 2/3 stops under exposing makes reds pop at sunrise or sunset.

The idea was to give the appearance of a huge fire, but it was a sunrise. There was tiny break in the clouds at the bottom allowing the rising sun to shine through onto the dark grey rain clouds.

I nearly did not get out of bed to get the image, seeing the bright red I jumped out of the car quickly and setup the camera. I had about 1-2 minutes to get the image. I am so happy I got out of bed (the Patrol had a bed in the car).

These events are rare but I managed to get something similar at sunset at Quilpie in Queensland (The Outback has amazing sunsets and really really blue skies). That time I had to do it all hand held, time was so short:
