Look like good tasting size! Perfect reason to head to the island!

Years ago before the total ban of alcohol whilst driving in Scotland.
We stopped at Blair Atholl on the way to Beauly nr Inverness to visit the distillery. We had set of very early and it was probably around 10ish when we arrived, we hadn't eaten. Nowadays, as in the picture, samples are offered or supplied in bottles for the drivers. The tour guy just kept topping up all the glasses until you had had enough, I just kept giving the wife mine. We weren't the last to leave and even with their better bottles just kept handing it out. When we got out side and the cold air hit, wife said, 'I'm drunk, I won't be sharing any driving today'

Another time, over new year period we were at Helmsdale we went up to John o Groats. This was well before the new rules zero alcohol breath test and you could still have a couple. In the little old cafe, as it was back then. We were the only ones there. The old lady serving was saying how new years celebrations aren't as good as they used to be now you can't drink and drive!
Personally I don’t touch the stuff. I have an aversion to spirit drinks and certainly can’t stand the smell of whisky.🤮
