I'm not sure if this qualifies as a build thread or a noob questions thread.

I drove my new-to-me Gren home the other day. This truck was mis-represented in my conversations when shopping on-line - it is, shall we say, well used. But at this point that is neither here nor there, that is on me for not being more thorough and diligent before purchase. It was not local but close enough to drive home.
Now that it is home, I am starting to run into some questions.

Questions:
* I went to check the oil. No dip stick. Is this all done electronically now?
* Usually when parked at home I dont lock the car. However last night and again this morning I tried and the lock button on the fob did nothing. It wouldn't lock. Any ideas why?
* Is there a better trip meter? The miles entry got reset somehow last I checked and I dont why or when it happened. I've religiously used this in other vehicles when I fill up and get a very good idea of how much further I've got based on miles driven (I know, a bit old school, other vehicles I've driven are older and dont have that range option available).

Oil level is done on flat and level ground, with engine at normal operating temperature, via the service menu option. No dipstick.

B58 petrol engine has no dipstick.
With engine warmed up, go to vehicle functions and find the check oil level choice.

I was confused by the Trip meter early on as well.

On the turn signal stalk use the button on the end of the stalk. When u r on the tri- meter u press and hold then a menu will cone up and say “from start” or “from reset”. If the former is highlighted the trip meter automatically zeros out when the vehicle restarts. Once that menu comes up you can press the button until it changes to reset. Once reset is highlighted u press and hold and it will reset to 0.

The not locking thing will be due to a door or more likely the bonnet being slightly ajar. Need to drop the bonnet from higher than you think would be needed.

Got some of this resolved and understood.
Thanks to @AngusMacG and @Shopkeep specifically.
It was the bonnet; and I now have that trip meter reset correctly.
Now to figure out the radio.
