Particularly when some countries decide to use different size gallons.Unladen and downhill with a following breeze.
MPG figures are always rubbery!
Particularly when some countries decide to use different size gallons.
If you leave them on when you shouldn't they will definitely impactBetter than I thought, do diff locks impact it?
Thanks
Right now in Brisbane diesel is around AUD$2.21 a litre compared to $1.62 a litre for 91 ron / $1.82 for 98 ronThat’s about 30% more fuel use on the petrol. Went Past a shell garage today with petrol at £1.51/L and diesel at £1.75 /L although it does vary. So roughly 13.7% cheaper petrol over diesel. Wonder how long this price variance will last in the U.K. Are there big differences in petrol and diesel prices in other countries. And how much more do diesel engines cost to service over a petrol engine. Wondering whether long term running costs will be much different between the two engines taking everything into account?
That’s quite a difference. Certainly in the U.K. the disparity between petrol and diesel prices seems to get wider.Right now in Brisbane diesel is around AUD$2.21 a litre compared to $1.62 a litre for 91 ron / $1.82 for 98 ron
I'll hopefully not to have let off a Liter every 25 Km ...33mpg down the country lanes.
I just used a fuel finder app and best for premium unleaded nearby is AUD$1.83 (wifes car) and Best for Premium Diesel is AUD$2.18 (my car) So 19% higherThat’s about 30% more fuel use on the petrol. I thought the B58 in the IG was detuned to allow for lower fuel grades (the norm in some parts of the world)He said the B58 doesn't like poor quality fuel so always use high octane premium.
Yes I told him that and he said good and make sure it had a good fuel filterI thought the B58 in the IG was detuned to allow for lower fuel grades (the norm in some parts of the world)
Hmm that's much like my 4,100 kg full size pick up. Was hoping the Gren would save me some fuel. Good to know !
