Model Year 2026 (MY26) – Confirmed & Speculated Changes

Looks like 2026 removed the "winch prep" as a standard part of the Trialmaster high load auxiliary switch panel.

I checked the maintenance manual, and I noticed a potential difference. Not sure if it really is the difference between '25 and '26 rearview mirrors.

Can we figure out who the manufacturer is of the new '26 mirror? It would be great if we could get a backdown of that mirror. I am thinking if we take one apart and access the camera behind the mirror glass and mount that outside the mirror so we could use a wolfbox or similar aftermarket mirror.

I wish I had more time with it in person.... I plan to go back maybe next week, might be able to take a couple pics. My hope was the mirror was just an LED that lights up but looking around at it, it must be the camera system as well for looking at the driver.

Is the HVAC issue simply related to low refrigerant (on the cooling side) and low coolant or need to bleed the system on the heating side? I've read several owners report doing either or those things have fixed their issues but also read about hardware and whole systems being replaced and redesigned.

Is it something that can be remedied in the pre26 cars?

My service advisor said they will actually replace a faulty valve per IA. Mine blew hot a handful of times when I was asking for full cold.

Ok, here's my thought on the wolfbox...

the rear view mirror, is where it is, because its the best angle to reflect most of what you want, but we still cant see shit.

In the 50's, it wasn't uncommon to see a rear view mirror on the dash. due to glass technology and thin frames on cars like corvettes. so, there is another location

Now, I like to see WTF the morons are doing in the back (see dog thread), and fix my hair (see self effacing comments to the contrary), and have considered mounting the wolfbox on the dash above/behind the existing screen. My plan since I got the truck has been to utilize the a pillar grab handle mount holes to mount a cross dash pipe for various electronics (ipad mini, ham control, obd speedometer), and the wolfbox.

It's camera view. It doesnt really look or act like a real rear view mirror. i cant see different angles by adjusting my head. There's no reason it has to be there, in place of the mirror.

My issue is, I can't keep my truck out of the dealer shop long enough to commit to the offroad conversion, and other obvious setbacks involving the front prop. There's no point in taking the time to fabricate that for a mere DD.

But anyway, just put it on a ram mount ball that I think someone has made to go over the back of the screen. I think someone made something there for phones or doo dads.
