VIAIR makes a compressor with 23A max current draw. Its current draw from 20-50psi is 15-19A respectively. Model# 450P-A EF here https://viaircorp.com/products/450p-ef-automatic-portable-compressor. Technically, this compressor can be powered from the EXT 2 roof outlet with its 25A ratings. May be change the fuse on the compressor wiring to a 20A fuse. do you see any issues with this? it will be slower than a more powerful compressor with a higher draw, but there are advantages if this is safe.

I’d be interested to know how long it would take to inflate 285/70 from 20 pounds to full? i’m not going to be putting anything larger than that on mine anytime soon.

I would prefer to connect under the bonnet than temporarily connect to the EXT roof outlet.

Post up real world compressor info when you get it.

The last thing I wanna do is open the bonnet. With my luck that’ll be the only time people stop by to ask if I need help. And I don’t like talking to strangers. Even the under seat and rear cargo area ones I’m not as hip on because of having to have a door open in potentially inclement weather. Especially if they can deal with your standard size tires pretty well being able to plug-in on the exterior seems like a pretty interesting option.

The ARB dual compressor draws 28 amps, with startup of up to 57 amps. Be ready with extra fuses in case your inrush exceeds the EXT amp rating.
