Lost bolt

Today I was in my hunting ground and shiftet a couple of times from high to low range.
Suddenly the little ring to delock the lever went loose and I couldn't shift the transfer case.
I found out, a little bolt supposed to stick in the ring to connect it to the shaft that lifts up with the ring was missing.
I took a little nail in sticked it from the backside in a hole in the ring.
Now it works again.
Will have to contact the service soon.

Is this a known issue?

The retaining pin had fallen out. Known issue reported elsewhere here. Some folk have inserted a drill bit of the correct size then wrapped it with tape to retain it.

I have a small Velcro strap that goes around the handle to prevent the pin from falling out. Preventative measure.

Zip tie is the easy fix.
