I don’t think proper sealing is an issue but it’s definitely a PITA to install.

I’ve played with this a bit before we kick off the remainder of the snorkel install - The fit within the sealed airbox is very tight. It may be worthwhile to trim the circumference of the filter body slightly to make this a bit easier…

VICTORY! The GrenX snorkel and sealed airbox system is now complete. Per earlier discussions we’ve opted for a Donaldson PowerCore G2 pod filter and it works wonderfully in our Petrol Grenadier ( no MAF issues / codes thrown etc. ). Definitely recommended.

The fit is insanely tight and a total PITA but it works.

I’ll probably adjust the heat shielding a bit more tomorrow…

Update - The Donaldson PowerCore G2 pod filter fitment for Rohan’s airbox is a total PITA. We’re definitely glad the replacement cycle for this filter is ~90K miles ( give or take ).

The flow volume for this filter ( as expected ) is more than adequate for the B58 - We haven’t had any MAF sensor issues / codes thrown and the noise difference with the airbox / filter in place is effectively non-existent so this is definitely recommended.

We’ve adjusted the heat shielding so we have a slightly tighter fit around the aluminum airbox. The build is now complete!

Touché It’s complete for the moment. If we need anything else then it’s probably time to buy a Unimog…
