Key battery empty

I've just changed the battery, it is a CR2032.

The new battery is at 3.24 Volts. But the voltage of the original battery is with 3.11 Volts still above the rated voltage of 3V.

So I wonder why the car complained. 🤷‍♂️

Today, another battery is due. I don't remember whether it is the same key as last time (see post above), but the conditions are the same: the current battery in they is @3,12V, again still above the rated voltage of the CR2032. I'l put in a new one and this time place a small piece of paper inside with the installation date.

PS: New battery is at 3,326 V, brand is MAXWELL.

I think this might be a software glitch like those we've previously experienced in other areas. I had that pop up on me last week and changed the battery. After changing it, I still had the warning pop up, though it's been a few days since that happened and things seem to be working fine with no further alerts. Who knows?

Write on it with a sharpie

Same - I’ve had that warning a few times and it always just went away
