Simply tried this, for the first time, a few minutes ago: Trailer hooked up, normal drive mode, seatbelt not fastened. Backing with the the trailer, i.e. transmission in rear, moving, opened the door: Nothing happened, could just drive further backwards. Offroad mode not engaged.Interesting. Will try that.

Did not try earlier because everybody says it'll jump into park, and I didn't want to ruin my transmission...
And do you get a series of bongs before the box goes bangOut of interest, what happens if you open a door at speed (or if a faulty switch makes the vehicle think you've opened a door)? Is it "goodbye gearbox" or does it know not to engage park at speed?
