My wife and I were coming out of a restaurant tonight and the moron who parked next to me was parked too close and I had to climb thru the passenger side and do yoga moves I didn’t know I had in me to get into the drivers seat. I must of bumped something because all the interior lights were stuck on and we drove 10 mins back our house with them on. I tried resetting the system from the touch screen but the lights stayed on. I then decided to disconnect the battery and as I was starting to gain access to the battery under the back seat the lights went out. Is this a normal thing? Not sure what the deal is. Took about 20 Mins for the lights to turn off. Haven’t gone back out to try to turn on the vehicle again, will mess around with it tomorrow to see if all is well.

Happened once to me as well.

Yeah, that's a normal safety/delay feature on a lot of cars. It's called the "theater dimming" effect.

When you open a door, the interior lights come on. If a door isn't properly closed or the car's computer gets a false signal that a door is still ajar, it keeps the lights on. After a period of time with the engine off (usually 10-20 minutes), the car's system will automatically shut them off to prevent the battery from draining completely.

You probably just bumped the door latch when you were climbing over. When it finally timed out, it shut the lights off. It should be fine tomorrow. Just make sure all your doors are shut properly when you check it.
