Hood not fully latched

Is that because your hood is effectively upside down on the other side of the equator?

Without looking at it at the moment, I wonder if there’s a simple switch we can bypass. I’d 100% do it.

Rather than slamming it shut push it down with your hand for the first latch, then lean into each front corner a bit with your elbow and forearm for the secondary latch. You can also adjust the overhead hood striker to lengthen it, so it latches easier down below, which I did with one because it was always more difficult. After dropping mine a few times I realized that's a lot of shock at the two hinges that are mounted less than an inch below the glass. Never again.
