Hey all!
Been following this forum for a bit and really enjoy the community. I pulled the trigger and picked up my Grenadier last Friday. For anyone in the Stockholm region, I cannot recommend enough Anna Taxen at Hedin Bil in Danderyd. She's super knowledgeable and understands that we aren't just buying a vehicle, but an experience.
Negotiated a killer deal on this press vehicle, it's a Scottish White Diesel Trialmaster (or Trailmaster as the Swedes call it) optioned out except winch, rock sliders and safari windows which weren't must-haves for me anyway.
So far I've thrown on the TDI Tuning piggyback, and I have the Wolfbox G900 TriPro bumper cam coming today.
I did end up throwing a CEL due to my own ignorance of routing the TDI fuel-side harness a *little* too close to the intake manifold which resulted in a melted/exposed wire. I quickly identified said culprit and re-pinned with a new length of XLPE TLX. I had a permanent Fuel Rail Pressure CEL, and was able to clear it with OBD Auto Doc using my ELM327 adapter.
Anyway, my long-winded preamble to say hello! Oh and I'm American but moved to Stockholm 5 1/2yrs ago. If you guys know of any LEGAL offroading spots in the Stockholm Region I would be eternally grateful!
