I have had issues with my A/C Heater since day one!! They fixed the issue when set on the second setting (face/feet) but now I’m having issues with the first setting (face only) when set to highest heat it only blows very lukewarm warm almost cold air in front and hot air in back

Welcome to the forum! Have you followed up with your dealer?

Not yet on this setting but they already fixed the face/feet setting! They had my car almost a month!

this is literally the same issue many people have.. all have been told "this is the way they are". Nothing to do.
I asked because I was wondering what the dealer did to rectify it for the previous issue... From what I've heard the usual fix is a new HVAC assembly as it is currently only sold as one part number for everything (although that may be changing?); it would be interesting to know if they replaced everything and then the new replacement piece had a different problem

It needs bleeding again, and if still not right, keep bleeding until it is. Make sure both reservoirs are topped up

CRH is right. You can go changing everything and it will be the same. I’ve had my fan motor assembly changed and it’s the same, same high frequency shrill noise on fan 4 too.

Just needs bleeding a couple of times. Top up with cold engine. It’s not perfect, it’s a bit slow but works.

Ideally I wouldn’t want anyone to dismantle my whole dash unless there is a proven fix. Last time, I had one bolt loose, a screw missing, a trim piece fixing missing after I dismantle it myself after a couple of squeaks.

having similar issues.
Different temperatures on different setting and seeing a big difference in temp between front and rear.
Did yall top the coolant levels yourselves or just drop it off with the dealer? Were they aware of this issue?

Mine had bleed procedure done about 3 times by dealer and once by myself. It was on the final bleed when it needed topping up. Since then it works, yes it's a bit slow and can get confused but I'm guessing most of us are reaching that stage now so a bit of patience and understanding helps. Once you get heat properly you will learn how to deal with it's oddities

my dealer told me when set to face only mode, the lukewarm air from the dash vents (hot rear vents) are working as designed. Ineos has shown them the HVAC system deconstructed. When in face only mode, the air does not pass by the heater core. It's designed shittly

Thanks to @CRH I have adopted the feet and windshield mode. No heat out the back vents, heat on feet and the windshield deflects to the interior. It gets toasty on 2. I also never use the defrost button as I heard that creates cracks in windshield when frosted over. I use a scraper to clean the windshield.

Keep topping off the 2 tanks. For me the third time was the charm. Just top off to just the top of the max mark, not above.

The tank lids were on tight and took a little work to get them off. Raise the hood to the full upright position. Use a small step stool so you can see in the tanks. Use a clear plastic fountain drink cup (easier than a funnel). Make sure you know if you bought premix or concentrate.

Hot air out of all vents now.

The only problem I had was finding the correct BMW coolant.

Local shop showed it online and in stock. The swore they did not have it and had never seen it.

I bought it from Amazon.

I happened to be back at the auto parts store weeks later.

One person said " oh I think we keep that in the back". They had it all along.

Good luck and enjoy...
