I have owned a lot of 4x4 s over the years. Jeeps, some classics. A Series 3 Defender short wheelbase. A Toyota Landcruiser FJ55 and many more. I was immediately attracted to the Grenadier concept. I do not have a dealer in my city though. I thought about it but was early in the Bronco wait list. So I bought a Bronco.

Well over the last year or so I have seen a few Grenadiers in person. I have not driven one but have seen a few. Yesterday I parked somewhere and when I came back to my Bronco sitting right next to it was this Grenadier.

The Bronco is a good vehicle. Perfect size for me. Very civilized on road performance with 33 inch tires. No solid front axle, but handles well on the road where we do most of our driving. Plus full support from Ford dealers. I have to say though I can’t imagine any truck having more recall issues than the Ford.

I just can’t get the Grenadier out of my head. I almost feel an obligation to buy one and vote with my support. The problem is my nearest dealer is 240 miles away. The next closest is 270 miles away. Also I do not visit the areas these dealers are in. There is another dealer that is 470 miles away in an area I do visit a few times a year. I live near Pittsburgh PA. I am really drawn to this truck but have a hard time getting past the no dealer in my city issue.
Would you buy a Grenadier with no dealer in your city?
Does Ineos support third party service from good local shops?

I take delivery next week. My closest dealer 1300km away. I was proactive and upgraded what I could. I pray this is not going to be an issue.

4 hours to the nearest dealer to us. There's a risk that we'd have to cart the beast all the way there for a catastrophic warranty repair - but we don't hear about many of those. The repair manual becoming available has reduced the worry factor considerably.
