The dealer instructed me to be pretty brutal with the transfer case lever during the familiarization - "just jam it in there" or something similar. I've found my lever goes into HI or LO quite easily with the transmission in neutral. If it doesn't go in the first try, I let my foot off the brake and it will slide right in. The diff lock is always smooth to engage or disengage.

I do have Agile Offroad's transfer case cable bracket - I found the factory mount (a tywrap connected to a plastic stud) disconnected when I installed the new bracket.

I'll be interested if Dirtbox Overland comes up with a replacement ball joint. The one he showed is quite sloppy.
