And Finally! Not so much typos but missing information and illustrations typically be seen in a vehicle owners manual.
  • Missing or incomplete commentary/information. for example.
    • 2 seat utility specifics.
    • No mention of the 500 amp circuit or the outlets is made in the high load aux switches section. (page 185)
    • How to connect electrical accessories to the Aux power outlets on the roof and in the cabin plus plug types. (Page 185)
    • Roof tie-down/hand rail load limits.
    • Tow hitch fitting, trailer electrical and rear NATO power plugs usage. Tell tail light operation for same.
    • Optional front tow hitch operation and load limitations.
    • Optional Cargo barrier installation, removal and safety checks. Both for station wagon and utility.
    • Utility false flooring at rear seat position.
    • Power steering fluid checking and top up.
    • Auto Transmission fluid checking and top up. (if possible)
    • Diesel engine bleeding and fuel filter replacement
    • Coolant, power steering, brake fluid, transfer case and diff gear oil specifications & capacities.
    • Gear box transfer case and diff ratios.
    • Physical types of fuses used.
  • Pictures and illustrations paint a 1000 words. Ones I believe would be useful:
    • Overhead switch panel, as others have mentioned.
    • The engine bay showing locations of various fluid reservoirs, diesel separator, power outlets etc.
    • Location of fuse boxes and battery/s in the vehicle.
    • Jacking point locations.
    • Safari window operation as already mentioned.
    • Power window & exterior mirror switches
    • Floor drain plug locations and foam cover/mat removal.
    • A large one of the centre screen highlighting the major features, buttons and zones..I found at printing at 100% (A5) all the central screen pics were too small and unreadable.

Yes ~ you are so right about the missing bits and pictures. 👍

The whole manual gives the impression that it has been written by temps. Unfortunately, it matches all my experiences with IA so far, apart form the vehicle itsel.

Example for a nonsense sentence part: “… die Bedienung seiner Systeme leicht verständlich und gut bedienbar zu machen.” (German version, page 15, 2nd para left)

An inclusion of technical drawings with all measurements would also be great.

IMHO the manual starts way too shiny and is not so much “on purpose”. I am not so much interested in a story or history book.

After reading the manual again over the weekend some more missing information/ commentary:
  • No Emergency unlocking details if the remote fob dies.
  • No mention of the security/alarm/immobiliser system and how it works, including how to bypass of the immobilizer/security system in an emergency (if necessary).
  • Missing fuse locations/details for the aux and high power electrical switch circuits.
  • It wouldn't hurt to describe what appear to be relays (labeled RI and ORI) in the interior centre fuse box diagrams.
Cheers
Steve

Having an Easter catch up of post reading here:)

After reading this post https://www.theineosforum.com/threads/whats-this.12411733/page-2#post-1333166249 I had a look at the jump starting section in the Australian user manual.
Firstly no illustration as to where the jump posts are located under the bonnet.
Next the highlighted warning message on page 119 doesn't make sense. I'd remove the last sentence regarding under bonnet terminal posts. Finally despite mentioning the terminals under the bonnet to use for jump starting (last sentence on page 119) the instructions on page 120 say to connect to the batteries on both vehicles.1681122187646.png
