And please make photos of the bumper and ask them if the larger one is the final for production. I fear, yes.

Well, Bad Driburg is not around the corner when being in Berlin.
I would be interested in your experiences with the car on higher speed. Please post them here.
Sorry I will attend in Stadtoldendorf next Friday. So I will probably just post my 4x4 experiences

If you've ever tried to sit down (well more perch) on the front bumper of a Defender, then the extra width is going to be a welcome treat...

Nobody expects you to make photos instead of driving the car.

But maybe beforehand - or afterwards ...

I never sit/sat on the front bumper of my 90 but have a foldable chair. Much more comfortable together with a Rolltisch made from wood.

First I looked for an English word „rolltisch“. Now I know that it is a rollable tablet. Never heard about that before as I am not a big camper.

> have a foldable chair

So do I. I have a Helinox Chair One. Extremely lightweight and small, robust, comfortable. Size and weight were highest priorities.

I even take it with me on my motorbike if the trip is for camping or a camp fire meeting.

  • der zusammengerollte Tisch hat einen Pack-Umfang von 14cm
  • Gewicht: 1600 Gramm

Edit: better photo. We are moving that is why the table stands in our living room without any other furniture. 🙂

Can it compete with the weight? 1600g?

Not really an issue in a Grenadier, I know. But I am a spoiled motorcyclist ...

Great! I didn’t know that this is a brand because in German the name means just what it is.

Chairs are good:

But sometimes you can't beat leaning/perching/sitting against your vehicle:

Driving the Grenadier yesterday in Bad Driburg Biester Berg Off-road course. Great car. But you can't drive him like the old Defender. The Grenadier has auto gearbox. That is important to know. In crawl ratio (you can use 8 gears!) you can drive him like the old Defender, very slowly, very sovereign, very easy. That's it. In the net you can find many wrong items about this theme. The diesel version is very strong, much fun to drive. The petrol is more elegant and not so harsh as the diesel. But my choice is diesel. The steering is great. Very direct and ideal for off-road driving. The 3 Grenadiers for driving all are on Bridgestones. I´m astonished how easy the drive was on the slippery ground. Good tires, good car. All driving in my car without lockers, and all was easy. My old Defender would not have been better on that course.
Hope to get my Grenadier even before Christmas. He is the real new Defender.

Do you mean just without the front and rear lockers or was the centre diff also not locked?

Has anyone driven with front and rear diff locks engaged (other than emax)?

Without any lockers. The terrain is not easy, but also not difficult for the car and the great axel articulation is good enough to master the terrain without lockers. But it's very easy to insert the central locker. When it's successful, you can see this in the display. Disengaging the locker is easy to.

Well maybe they teach things differently nowadays, but I was always taught to engage the centre diff lock as soon as you went off road.

It seems odd to demonstrate a vehicle with four wheel drive without actually putting it into four wheel drive...
