Probably the most important thread on the net today. Received my Stainless Steel replacement bolts.

All the airplane rails will have their bolts replaced. Plus all the body work that uses the other Torx bolts.

I also have a pack of SS and anodized bolts that I have been planning to swap out.
These I used for my other vehicle - zspec

Replaced the front wing fixings - the airline track - and a few on the rear door. Want to do the roof bars - will order some from there and those around the back doors.

The bolts in the worst condition were those fixing the wings and the lower airline track.

Very nice!
As they are unlike materials, did you put any anti-corrosion lube in-between?

I like the contrast. It looks industrial and purposeful without the useless gaudiness of fake beadlocks or fender fasteners. I'm not having any issues but I may do that swap.

Are they 316SS? They look good. What concerns me is how far the stock screws deteriorate... obviously inferior coating systems used.

They are A2 - in the UK A4 are 316SS. Maybe should have bought 316.

I agree, the external bolts do corrode, will research Titanium, but I can switch any bolt that shows corrosion if necessary.

NB: A2 Stainless Steel - Also known as grade 304 or 18/8. A general purpose grade of stainless steel.

Yeah 304 will tea stain a little but still generally ok. Nothing like a zinc screw from Bunnings for longevity!

Recently fieldmaster owner here. I was wondering if you have a link for all the outside stainless replacements screws that you purchased and the amount of each that need to be purchased?
