Game changer propshaft

Here is a look at the current DC to DC we have here in NC from Sven. Ive driven this and found it good in another grenadier and am putting in mine, followed by the Rzeppa to DC version Sven is sending me to test. The seocnd one is already sold to my friend Bill

How do you find that this solution compares to the u-joint to u-joint shaft? The u-joint version that we tried felt like it was going to rip the output shaft right out of the transfer case on deceleration.

Sorry, I was referring more to the front than the rear.
I'm on 30,000 miles of mainly motorway driving, if I go to Ineos I get 12 months or end of warranty guarantee on the joint and any damage a failure may cause as I am standard everything. Why should I swap when the time comes. I want to swap to something I feel confident in but if you can't offer any assurance othe than 'it's better' then it isn't reassuring. It sounds good but without some kind of limited warranty then it's just another fingers crossed option

Honestly, I can guarantee my shaft it's not a problem, on a genuine Grenadier it's a lifetime product, you just have to change the UJ sometimes and it's a really common UJ , spline are 3 times longer than genuine, impossible to kill them

BUT , in one year and one day if you broke it ??? Or how can I be sure you don't abuse it ? How to be sure you don't have 10" lift , 42" tyres, how to be sure you don't do races with it ?

So yes of course you have a one year warranty , but for USA it's David responsibility to know the customers and to say me what's happened, it's why i accepted to loose a little of money and have an intermediary person in USA

Thank you for spending your time and $$$ developing a potential solution for the rest of us. So far that is 100% more than Ineos has done regarding this problem. I have my fingers crossed your new solution will be my ticket to the drive shaft concern!!!!

Thanks , I try maybe 6-7 designs , the DC to DC is the best way for many time , but with a little of vibs in hard conditions , but now the DC to Rzeppa is totally different, it's the best solution for many time I think , I do another design but not so perfect , I always look for better solutions !

Indeed, the DC/Rzeppa will be the better solution and run smoother at high speeds, assuming of course, it’s built with high quality components and runout/balance are kept within precise tolerances. It might be worth including instructions of how to keep the DC and centering ball lubricated for folks less familiar with this style of joint. For those who are familiar this is old news but a DC requires ongoing maintenance especially the centering ball to avoid wear that could lead to radial runout and vibrations.

Great job Sven! Hopefully this solves the issue for everyone.

Looks good. I’ll purchase the double Cardan ( TF side ) to Rzeppa ( FD side ) front propshaft if David’s testing is successful.
